Akeeba Backup Pro 6.1.0 is a Joomla 3 backup component for creating archives that contain the website files, folders and database. Backups can be produced in ZIP, JPA or encrypted JPS formats, and different backup profiles can be configured for separate tasks. The Pro version can also transfer completed archives to supported remote storage services and includes scheduling options for automated backups.
A complete site backup can be started from the component interface, combining Joomla files with the database so the installation can be restored from a single backup set.
Several archive formats are available. ZIP provides a standard archive, JPA is Akeeba's own backup format, and JPS adds encryption when the stored backup needs additional protection.
Backup profiles allow different settings to be saved for different purposes. A site can therefore keep separate configurations for full backups, database-focused jobs or other scheduled tasks.
The Pro version can upload archives to supported remote storage services such as Amazon and Dropbox. Scheduling and automatic server configuration tools are also included for unattended backup workflows.
