EUL - Easy User Login PRO 5.2.1.0 is a Joomla plugin that lets a Super User open the frontend while logged in as another user account. A login action is added to Joomla user management, allowing administrators to reproduce what a specific user can see and do without asking for that user's password. The login process is protected with token and cookie checks, and blocked user accounts cannot be used for this type of access.
This type of login is useful for support and troubleshooting when a problem depends on a user's permissions, profile or account-specific data. An administrator can enter the frontend as that user and test the same workflow directly.
The login option is available only to members of the Super Users group. This keeps the function limited to administrators with the highest Joomla permissions instead of exposing it to normal backend users.
A button is added to the User Manager list so the administrator can start the session from the existing Joomla user-management screen. After login, the administrator can perform the same frontend actions that would normally be available to the selected account.
Security checks include a token and login cookie validation. The plugin does not allow access through locked accounts, which helps prevent the impersonation feature from bypassing the account's disabled state.
Once successfully logged in, the administrator can perform all operations available to a normal user when logged in normally. For security reasons, only members of the "Super Users" group are authorized to initiate the login process. In addition, a login cookie is used to make sure that the user is authenticated in the server side.
This plugin is suitable for testing features in the front-end and performing actions on behalf of a user that are not possible directly without logging in. It should be noted that only unlocked accounts are allowed to log in!
