JMP Delete My Account is an extension for Joomla! that enables website users to delete their own accounts.
If needed, you can configure the system to allow users to temporarily deactivate (block) their accounts instead of permanently deleting them.
For enhanced security, an email verification step is required when deleting an account. A confirmation code is sent to the user's email address and must be entered correctly, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized account removal.
When an account is deleted or temporarily deactivated, email notifications are automatically sent to both the user and the site administrator. Please note that the account deletion feature is not available for administrator accounts.
