RSBlog! 1.14.2 is a Joomla blogging component for creating and managing posts, authors, subscriptions and blog-related user permissions. Posts can be created from the dashboard, protected with passwords and organized with author profiles and automatic archiving. The component also includes email-based remote publishing, subscriber notifications and social publishing options, allowing a Joomla site to run a dedicated blog workflow instead of relying only on standard articles.
Authors can have their own profile information, including name, biography, avatar and metadata. This gives the blog a clearer author structure when several people publish content on the same Joomla site.
Remote publishing allows a post to be created by sending an email to a configured address. This can be useful when an author needs to publish without opening the full Joomla administration interface.
Readers can subscribe by email to receive updates when new posts are published. Trackbacks and pingbacks are also supported for sites that use those traditional blog-linking methods.
User groups can control who is allowed to view, create or edit blog content. RSBlog! can also publish posts to supported social networks, while automatic archiving helps keep older entries organized as the blog grows.
Key features include:
Quickly create posts right from your dashboard.
Password protection for blog entries.
Custom profiles with author name, information/biography, adding an avatar and customizing metadata for each author.
Social-oriented with the ability to automatically post to Twitter, Facebook or other social networks.
Remote publishing via email: send an email to a pre-configured address and your blog will be updated instantly.
Subscriptions: give your readers the opportunity to subscribe to your blog via email and stay up to date.
Trackbacks and Pingbacks: keep in touch with other blogs through a trackback and pingback system.
Automatic post archiving: keep your blog organized by automatically archiving old posts.
