DOCman is a Joomla document and file management extension for organizing downloads, documents and other digital files on a website. It provides tools for uploading, categorizing and publishing files while giving administrators control over who can view, download or manage them.
Documents can be organized into categories with multiple levels, making it easier to manage larger file libraries. Access permissions can be configured for different users and groups, while frontend management allows selected users to upload and maintain their own files without using the Joomla administrator area.
DOCman also supports batch uploads, file sharing and different ways of presenting documents to visitors. Built-in audio and video players can be used to preview supported media files directly on the website.
These features make DOCman suitable for document libraries, member download areas, internal file repositories and other Joomla projects where files need to be organized and distributed with controlled access.
