ochBlog 3.0.4 is a Joomla blogging extension that works with Joomla articles instead of moving content into a separate proprietary content system. Existing articles can be used as blog posts, and authors can create, edit and publish posts from the frontend. The extension also supports categories, tags, comments and multiple authors.
The component is intended for sites that want a blog workflow while keeping the underlying content in Joomla. Existing articles do not need to be recreated in a separate blogging component before they can appear as posts.
Frontend management allows permitted authors to create and edit blog content without entering the Joomla administrator area. This can be useful on multi-author sites where contributors only need access to their own publishing workflow.
Categories and tags provide the normal Joomla methods for organizing posts, while comment support adds discussion around published entries.
Multiple authors can participate in the same blog. Because the extension builds on Joomla content, other extensions that already work with Joomla articles can continue to interact with that content.
