RSDirectory 2.3.8 is a Joomla component for creating directory and classified listing websites. It can be used for different types of projects, including real estate portals, car sales websites, job and resume directories, business listings and other sites where users need to publish and search through structured entries.
The component allows you to create both free and paid listings and apply different rules to each type. Categories can be organized into unlimited nested levels, while custom fields can be assigned to forms and reused across different categories. This makes it possible to build listing forms specifically for the type of information your website needs to collect.
RSDirectory also provides filtering and search tools based on custom fields, allowing visitors to narrow down large numbers of listings. Map functionality can be used to display entries geographically and perform radius searches, which is particularly useful for real estate, vehicles, local services and other location-based directories.
The component includes options for managing listings, categories, forms and fields from the Joomla administration area. Data can also be imported from SobiPro, while backup and restore tools help protect directory content when making changes to the website.
In version 2.3.8, the map radius search received a new Focus Markers option, giving administrators additional control over how markers are handled during location-based searches.
