JCal Pro 5.0.25 is a Joomla event calendar and registration component for publishing one-time or recurring events. Events can be organized into categories, assigned to locations and displayed in calendar or weekly views. The extension also supports event registrations, email notifications, multilingual sites and Joomla access controls for managing who can view or submit calendar content.
Locations can contain detailed information and can use Google Maps integration, giving visitors additional context about where an event takes place.
Events may be created from the administrator area, and recurring events can be used for schedules that repeat on a regular basis. Calendar output can be shown by month, week or day, with category-based views available as well.
Registration tools allow visitors to sign up for supported events, while administrators can manage those registrations from Joomla. Notification emails can be customized for actions such as new registrations or event creation.
JCal Pro also provides personal calendars, custom event fields, RSS feeds, iCal export and a mini-calendar module. Joomla user groups and access levels can be used to restrict calendar functions and content.
Version 5.0.25 was primarily a maintenance release: its changelog notes improved PHP 8.1 compatibility and a fix for incorrectly handled quotation marks in breadcrumbs.
