JoomElection is a Joomla extension designed to organize and manage online elections of any scale, from small internal polls to large institutional voting processes.
It is suitable for associations, academic institutions, and other organizations that require a structured and secure voting system.
The extension follows the same principles as traditional elections, but in a fully digital format. All election data is configured through the administrative panel, which is accessible only to authorized organizers, ensuring control and security throughout the process.
JoomElection allows you to manage elections based on individual candidates or candidate lists, record detailed information about participants, and assign candidates to specific lists. You can define voting periods by setting precise start and end dates and times.
The system includes voter management features, where each voter is identified by username, email, and password. It also provides a CSV import tool for adding voters in bulk, with the option to automatically generate and send passwords via email.
Once authenticated, each voter can cast their vote once through the frontend interface. The extension displays voting results, including percentages for each candidate or list, and supports participation in multiple elections. Additionally, administrators can control which Joomla user groups are allowed or restricted from voting.
