MailChimp Auto-Subscribe 5.0.0 is a Joomla plugin for adding registered users to a Mailchimp mailing list automatically. Subscription can take place during Joomla registration, and administrators can optionally require confirmation or display a consent field in the registration form. The plugin also supports separate lists for different site languages and works with extensions that use the standard Joomla registration process.
The plugin runs the Mailchimp subscription step in the background when a user registers. This removes the need to export new Joomla accounts manually and add them to a mailing list later.
A consent field can be displayed in the registration form when subscription should depend on an explicit user choice. Confirmation emails can also be used according to the configured Mailchimp workflow.
Different mailing lists can be assigned to different website languages. This is useful on multilingual Joomla sites where subscribers should receive newsletters in the language associated with their registration.
The source description also lists compatibility with EngageBox and other extensions that use Joomla registration. User information required by the subscription can be passed through the normal registration process.
