ochOpenGraph 2.1.1 is a Joomla plugin for generating Open Graph and related social-sharing metadata. It can define values such as title, description, image, author and canonical URL so shared pages provide structured information to services including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The plugin works with Joomla articles and also supports several third-party content extensions.
Open Graph metadata gives social platforms information they can use when a Joomla page is shared. This includes the page title, description and image that may appear in the social preview.
Administrators can control these values instead of relying only on whatever information a social service extracts automatically from the page.
The source description lists integration with K2, jDownloads, YOOtheme Zoo and EasyBlog in addition to Joomla core articles.
Author and canonical URL values can also be included where required. ochOpenGraph is therefore aimed at managing social-preview metadata across different types of Joomla content.
