Products Anywhere 1.0.14 is a Joomla plugin for displaying VirtueMart products inside Joomla or K2 articles. Products are inserted with plugin syntax, so selected store items can appear in editorial content without creating a separate VirtueMart category page for each placement. The output can include the product image, name, price and order button, and these elements can be shown or hidden according to the page layout.
The plugin is useful when a product needs to be shown next to related text, for example in a review, guide, landing page or news article. Editors can keep the surrounding content in Joomla while pulling the selected product into the same page.
Products can be selected by their identifiers and additional arguments can be added to the plugin call. This gives the editor control over which items are displayed without manually copying the product information into the article.
Three display layouts are available in the version described here. The image, product name, price and order button can be enabled or disabled so the product block can be adapted to the purpose of the article.
Because the displayed item remains a VirtueMart product, its store data can continue to be managed in VirtueMart instead of maintaining a second copy inside the article text.
