vDesigner for VirtueMart 2.0.1 is a product-customization extension that lets customers create a design before ordering a VirtueMart product. It can be used for items such as T-shirts, bags, phone cases and other products that accept printed graphics or text. Customers can upload a logo, add and format text and work with different design areas or shapes as part of the product-ordering process.
The extension adds an online design step to the product workflow so buyers can prepare personalized artwork without sending separate instructions after checkout. The resulting design remains connected with the product being ordered.
Customers can upload their own logo or image and add text to the design. Text settings allow the appearance of the lettering to be adjusted before the order is submitted.
Different design areas can be used for products with round, rectangular or other printable regions. This makes the tool suitable for several types of customizable merchandise rather than only one fixed product format.
vDesigner is intended for VirtueMart stores that sell personalized printed products. Its role is to collect and preview the customer's design request as part of the normal product-purchase process.
