VirtueMart Product Thumbnails Video Advanced 1.0 adds video support to VirtueMart product media. Administrators can attach locally hosted video files or YouTube videos to a product and manage them alongside product images. Video thumbnails are generated for the product view, and settings control the media source, thumbnail presentation and video sizing.
The extension is intended for product pages where images alone are not enough to demonstrate an item. Video can be used to show operation, movement or additional product details.
YouTube videos are added by providing the video URL, while local video files can be uploaded and managed from the product media interface.
Video thumbnails appear with the other product media so customers can select the video from the same area used for images.
Administrators can upload or delete media and adjust video or thumbnail size according to the product layout. The source description also notes support for mobile devices and tablets.
The extension therefore expands VirtueMart's product-media presentation without replacing the normal product catalog or checkout functions.
