Google Drive Documents Embedder 1.5 is a Joomla module for displaying documents stored in Google Drive directly on website pages. It can embed DOCX, PPT, XLS and PDF files without requiring editors to write iframe or other embed code manually. Administrators can control the displayed document size, use a fluid grid layout for different screen sizes and restrict document downloads according to Joomla user groups.
The module is useful when documents need to remain stored in Google Drive but should still be available as part of the Joomla site. Instead of sending visitors to a separate file page, the selected document can be shown inside the page layout.
Width and height settings provide control over the document area, while the fluid layout option helps the embedded viewer adapt to different devices. This is particularly useful for pages that may be opened on both desktop and mobile screens.
Download access can be controlled by Joomla user group. A document can therefore be visible in the page while the option to download it is limited to the users who should receive the original file.
Additional style settings are available for matching the embedded document block to the surrounding content, making the module suitable for manuals, presentations, reports and other files shared through Google Drive.
