GPTranslate is a Joomla extension designed to automatically translate your website into more than 100 languages using artificial intelligence. It integrates with translation services such as ChatGPT and Google AI, reducing the need to translate website content manually.
With GPTranslate, Joomla pages can be translated automatically while keeping the original content available for editing. Version 2.34.9 improves translation validation, URL handling and incremental translation logic. The update adds stronger checks for translated content and aliases before they are stored, fixes an issue where URL fragments could be saved in translated aliases and cause 404 errors, and corrects handling of translation keys containing `&` characters.
Dictionary and excluded-word matching have also been refined to avoid conflicts between shorter and longer entries, while incremental translation now better recognizes existing dictionary replacements and known translated text. The release also adds support for Claude Opus 5 and Claude Opus 5.5 models.
