PWT Image 1.6.0 is a Joomla image-management component for cropping and resizing images directly while editing content. It can work with different editors and allows images to be uploaded from a computer or selected from the server. Cropping follows configured dimensions and proportions, and upload folders can be defined so images are stored in the required location.
The component is intended to reduce the need to open Joomla's Media Manager separately when an editor only needs to prepare an image for an article or another content field.
Images can be cropped directly in the editing workflow, with the resulting size and aspect ratio controlled by the configured settings. This helps keep images more consistent across pages that use the same layout.
Files can be uploaded from the local computer or selected from images that are already stored on the Joomla server. Administrators can also configure which folders should be used for uploaded files.
The accompanying Image Custom Fields plugin allows PWT Image to be used with Joomla custom fields. This makes the same crop-and-upload workflow available when an image is stored as structured field data rather than only inside article text.
