EDocman 4.0 is a document and file manager for Joomla 5, designed to help website administrators organize, manage and distribute digital files. The component provides tools for uploading documents, controlling user access and creating a structured download section on a Joomla website.
With EDocman, you can upload, publish, edit and delete files and documents from the administration area. The extension supports hierarchical categories and folders, making it easier to organize large document libraries and help visitors find the files they need. Different layouts can be used to display categories, documents and download information.
EDocman supports Joomla ACL for managing access permissions to individual documents and categories. Multiple file uploads, drag-and-drop functionality and batch import tools can simplify everyday file management. Version 4.0 introduces several new tools for document control and protection. Administrators can manage document health and lifecycle status, set download availability for individual files and define an expiration date using the new Download Available Until field. PDF files can now be protected with download watermarks and viewer watermark overlays. The release also adds Joomla Mail Templates integration, XML field merge support, improved Google Drive compatibility with PHP 8.x, new frontend button styling options and a number of layout, security and stability improvements.
