OSDownloads Pro 2.3.3 is a Joomla download manager for organizing files and making them available to website visitors. Files can be stored on the Joomla server or linked from external services such as Amazon, Google Drive and Dropbox. Downloads can be arranged into categories, and custom fields can be added when file entries need information beyond the standard title and description.
The component provides a central place for managing downloadable files instead of attaching them manually to individual Joomla articles. Categories help organize larger collections so visitors can browse related downloads more easily.
Files do not have to be stored only on the local web server. The source description also lists support for external storage services including Amazon, Google Drive and Dropbox.
Custom fields can be attached to download entries when additional information needs to be displayed. This is useful for details such as versions, requirements or other structured data associated with a file.
OSDownloads Pro is therefore suitable for software archives, document libraries and other Joomla sites that need a dedicated download-management workflow rather than simple direct file links.
The 2.3.3 maintenance release updates jQuery Validate and improves MailChimp integration. It drops support for AcyMailing 5, removes obsolete MailChimp group conversion code and updates Joomla and PHP compatibility requirements.
