Responsive Virtual Preview 1.6.1 is a Joomla module for placing one image over another to create a simple visual preview. A background image can represent a room or other scene, while additional images such as paintings are positioned over it so visitors can see how they may look in context before purchase. The module is responsive and is intended for stores, galleries and other sites where a product needs to be shown inside a reference image.
The preview starts with a main background image and one or more images that can be shown over it. This allows a product image to be presented in a more realistic setting instead of only as a standalone picture.
A common use case is wall art: a room photograph is used as the base while different paintings are overlaid for comparison. The same approach can be used for other products where scale and visual context are important to the customer.
The responsive layout helps the combined preview adapt to different screen sizes. The module therefore remains usable when the same product page is opened on desktop, tablet or mobile devices.
Version 1.6.1 added additional localization files. The main function of the extension remains the image-overlay preview rather than a full product designer or image editor.
