The two-click approach prevents the OpenStreetMap content from loading immediately with the article. Until the visitor activates the map, the page displays only the local preview instead of connecting to the external map service.
This behavior can be useful on sites that want external map content to load only after an explicit visitor action. It can also reduce the amount of third-party content loaded during the initial page request.
Maps are inserted into Joomla content with the syntax described by the plugin, using the map URL between the opening and closing tags.
