2 Click Youtube Videos Pro v5.2.1.0 — secure integration of YouTube videos into Joomla! articles
This plugin allows you to easily embed YouTube videos into your Joomla articles while maintaining a high level of privacy. Simply use a straightforward syntax, and the video will appear exactly where you need it.
On the page, the video is initially replaced with a preview image featuring a play button. The actual video is loaded only after the user clicks, ensuring that no data is sent to YouTube beforehand — everything happens only with the visitor’s consent.
To embed a video, use the tag {youtube}ID{/youtube}, where ID is the value of the v parameter in the YouTube URL (for example, v=xxxxxx). You can also insert the full URL — the plugin will automatically extract the video ID. If needed, you can specify a custom image to replace the default preview.
The plugin supports displaying the original YouTube thumbnail. Thumbnails are fetched directly from YouTube and cached on the server to improve performance.
The extension settings offer detailed customization of the player behavior, such as enabling autoplay, controlling the visibility of interface elements, and more.
