Easy Image Resizer Pro 6.0.0.0 is a Joomla 6 system plugin that automatically resizes and optimizes images uploaded through the Joomla Media Manager and supported third-party extensions. It can reduce oversized image dimensions during upload, create additional image sizes and process existing images in batches. The Pro version also includes WebP-related tools and image optimization options for sites that need to control file size without preparing every image manually.
Image processing runs automatically when supported uploads are detected, so editors can continue using the normal Joomla media workflow. Resize limits and scaling methods determine how large source images are adjusted before they are stored on the website.
The Pro edition can also optimize images that already exist on the site. Backup copies can be created for batch processing, allowing existing images to be optimized while retaining a way to restore the originals when needed.
Additional functions include generation of multiple image sizes, configurable JPG and PNG compression and WebP support. These tools can reduce the amount of image data transferred on pages where uploaded files would otherwise be larger than necessary.
Version 6.0.0.0 was the first Pro release specifically for Joomla 6 and was based on the Joomla 5 branch of Easy Image Resizer Pro. The developer lists this release for Joomla 6.0 or later and PHP 8.3 or later.
The plugin automatically adjusts image resolution to predefined limits and can generate multiple image versions in different sizes. This is especially useful when images are uploaded without prior optimization and have excessively large dimensions.
In addition to resizing, Easy Image Resizer Pro significantly reduces image file sizes, which has a positive impact on website performance and noticeably improves page loading speed. Working quietly in the background, the plugin requires no manual intervention and ensures consistent image optimization regardless of the image source or upload volume.
