JoomVideos 6.1.3 is a Joomla component for building video galleries and video-sharing sections. Videos can be uploaded locally or added from services such as YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion. The extension supports playlists, channels, tags, view counters, ratings and several comment systems, giving administrators a structured way to manage video content beyond a simple embedded player.
Video entries can use Joomla custom fields and can be organized with tags, playlists and channels. This makes the component suitable for larger collections where visitors need several ways to browse the available media.
Comments can be handled through Komento, Disqus, jComments or Facebook Comments according to the site setup. Likes, dislikes and view counts add further interaction around each video.
The component supports several players, including VideoJS, JW Player and Flow Player, and can work with different video resolutions. The built-in HTML5 player includes full-screen mode, autoplay, hotkeys and related-video support.
Administrators can also use reporting and statistics tools and can restrict direct downloading of videos. Social sharing and external embedding are available when videos should be distributed beyond the Joomla site.
