YouTubeR 3.6.1 is a Joomla 3 extension for adding YouTube videos, playlists and channels to website content. It can also be used to build video galleries and provides several prepared templates for presenting YouTube material. The extension supports popup display and Joomla caching, and it includes an option for uploading video content to YouTube from the website.
The extension can embed individual YouTube videos as well as complete playlists and channel content. This makes it useful when a Joomla site needs more than a single video inserted into an article.
Video galleries can be created from the selected YouTube content, allowing several items to be presented together in one section. Five prepared templates are included as starting points for the gallery layout.
Popup display can be enabled when videos should open in a separate overlay instead of playing directly inside the normal page flow. Joomla caching support is also available to reduce repeated processing of the same content.
YouTubeR also provides an upload function for sending video content to YouTube from the site. Its main purpose is therefore managing and presenting YouTube media within Joomla rather than only generating a basic embed code.
