Mx Awesome News 4.0.18 is a Joomla module for displaying Joomla articles, K2 items or custom content in a carousel or wall-style layout. Content can be selected by categories, tags and featured status, while administrators control image sizes, headlines, article information and text excerpts. Seven design styles are included for presenting recent or selected content in different parts of a Joomla site.
The module can use existing Joomla Content articles or K2 items, avoiding the need to create a second set of records only for the news block. Custom items can also be used when the required content is not stored in either source.
Categories, tags and featured status can be used to control which items appear. This allows the module to be configured for recent news, featured stories or a selected content section.
Seven design styles provide different starting points for the frontend presentation. Administrators can further adjust image dimensions, title display and the amount of article information shown with each item.
Content can be presented as a carousel or a standard wall layout. Mx Awesome News is therefore suitable for homepages and magazine-style sections where several articles need to be displayed in a compact block.
