OL News Slider 4.0.9 is a Joomla module for displaying articles from selected categories in an animated news slider. Each item can show an image, category, date, title, text excerpt and Read More link, allowing several articles to share a compact area on the page. Administrators can choose which article elements are visible and adjust the slider presentation from the module settings.
The module uses existing Joomla articles as its source, so news items do not need to be entered a second time. Selected categories determine which content can appear in the slider.
Images, titles, dates and article text can be combined in each slide. Elements that are not required for a particular layout can be hidden, which makes the same module suitable for both image-focused and text-focused news blocks.
The animated layout is useful on homepages, category landing pages and magazine-style sections where several recent or featured articles need to be presented without taking up the space of a full article list.
OL News Slider keeps article management in Joomla while using the module only for presentation. Editors can update the original article normally, and the slider displays the current article information according to its configured settings.
