MetaMan 1.0.11 is a Joomla metadata editor that allows authorized users to change page metadata from the frontend. It can edit the page title independently from the article title and provides fields for the meta description, keywords and canonical URL. The plugin also includes controls for Facebook Open Graph and Twitter Card tags and can limit frontend editing to selected Joomla user groups.
The main purpose of MetaMan is to reduce the need to open the Joomla administrator area for routine metadata changes. Editors can adjust supported metadata while viewing the page itself.
The page title can be managed separately from the visible content title. Meta description, keyword and canonical-link fields are also available for pages supported by the plugin.
Open Graph and Twitter Card settings provide control over metadata used when pages are shared on supported social platforms.
Administrators can decide which Joomla user groups are allowed to edit metadata from the frontend. The source description also lists support for third-party components, allowing the same workflow to be used beyond standard Joomla articles where integration is available.
