OSDownloads Pro 2.3.2 is a Joomla download manager for organizing files and making them available to website visitors. Files can be stored directly on the Joomla server or hosted on external services such as Amazon, Google Drive and Dropbox.
The component provides tools for organizing downloads into categories and managing files from the Joomla administration area. Custom fields can be added to download entries when additional information needs to be displayed alongside a file.
OSDownloads Pro also includes options for controlling access to downloads. Social sharing can be used as a condition for accessing files, while download links can be configured for more controlled distribution. The component can be useful for software downloads, documents, manuals, media files and other resources that need to be managed from one place.
Integration with mailing and marketing services provides additional options for sites that require email confirmation or subscriber-related download access. The component also supports AcyMailing, Constant Contact and MailChimp, extending its use beyond a basic file management system.
The latest release adds support for AcyMailing 11 and introduces a time limit for download URLs. Email confirmation checks have also been improved, while obsolete class references were removed and several internal data-handling issues were corrected.
