Community Polls 7.4.0 is a Joomla extension for creating polls, surveys and audience voting directly on a website. It can be used for simple article polls, community-created polls and more structured surveys without relying on an external polling service.
Several voting formats are available, including single-choice, multiple-choice and grid polls. Voting can be limited by cookie, IP address or Joomla user account, with additional options for cooldown periods, vote modification and anonymous participation. Joomla access levels can also be used to control who is allowed to view or vote in individual polls.
Results can be displayed using bar, donut, pie, polar or column charts, with different color palettes available for each poll. Administrators can review voting activity, see individual vote breakdowns and export poll data to CSV. Registered users can also submit their own polls from the frontend, either for immediate publication or for administrator approval.
Polls can be inserted into Joomla articles with a content shortcode or through the editor button. The package also includes modules for random polls, recent or most-voted polls and poll categories. Joomla Smart Search integration makes published polls searchable together with other site content.
Community Polls includes privacy tools for exporting and removing user-related poll data through Joomla's Privacy Suite. Email templates for new polls, new votes and moderation requests can be edited and previewed from the administrator area, while moderation emails can include direct approve and reject links.
The version 7 generation introduced a redesigned React-based administration interface together with optional AI-assisted tools. Administrators can generate suggested poll answers, create summaries from voting results and group similar free-text responses. AI functions are disabled by default and run only when an administrator activates them manually.
